Nestled in the hills of Naples, NY, our small family farm is dedicated to raising free-range and seasonally pasture-raised hens that produce the freshest, most flavorful eggs. Each egg is hand-picked daily and left unwashed to preserve its natural bloom for longer freshness. THE STORY BEHIND BLUE FEATHER COOP
Blue Feather Coop is the egg brand of Highland Natural Farm, established in 2008. Highland Natural Farm is a small family farm in Naples, NY, founded to seek better eggs. In 2022, while pregnant with baby number six, I, Heather, set out to raise chickens to provide our family with fresh, healthy eggs. Seeing the flaws in the egg industry, I knew there had to be a better way.
What started as 12 chicks quickly grew to 24, then 60, and well, thanks to chicken math, we now care for a few hundred happy hens! What began as a way to feed our large family soon became a passion for providing free-range and seasonally pasture-raised eggs to the community.
Our hens enjoy nesting boxes in a comfortable environment. Each egg is hand-gathered twice daily, keeping us connected with our flock, then hand-packed in our family-stamped cartons before heading to your fridge.
In 2025, we are proud to take Blue Feather to the next level by bringing our farm-fresh eggs to local grocers so more families can enjoy eggs the way they should be: fresh, healthy, and naturally delicious.

Our hens roam freely, scratching and pecking for insects, grass, and seeds—just as nature intended. During warmer months, they enjoy our pasture, ensuring fresh forage and a healthy environment. In cooler months, they still have plenty of room to roam, with access to shelter and protection from harsh weather.
